Délice, network of good food cities worldwide
The Délice association was founded on September 18th 2007 by the City of Lyon and its deputy mayor for international relations, Jean-Michel Daclin.
The international network of good food cities now has 17 members.
Our aim is to promote contacts between cities all over the world renowned for their gastronomic tradition, their professional know-how, the outstanding quality of their products and the wealth of their style of living where the culinary arts are concerned.
Délice is about the art of living as part of life’s quality, it’s about health and well-being.
The member cities carry these strong values, based on sharing and social involvement, at an international level.
The tourist and economic stakes are such that gastronomy has become an important factor in advertising a city.
A component part of a city’s culture and part of its identity, gastronomy is an integral part of our heritage.
Lyon is famous on an international level for its gastronomic traditions and has a flair for partnerships with a view to developing ideas on current local and international stakes linked to this strong theme.
Following Genoa in February 2008 and Barcelona in June 2008, the third Executive Committee meeting was held on September 24th 2008.
